Netflix has dropped “Night Always Comes”, a tense psychological thriller that puts survival, family, and desperation at the center of its story. The film stars Vanessa Kirby as Lynette, a woman whose life is collapsing under the weight of debt and gentrification. With her family home on the line and her brother depending on her, she is forced into one relentless night of choices that could save or ruin everything.

Set in Portland, Oregon, the movie captures the raw struggle of a woman fighting for stability in a world that feels like it’s closing in on her. Lynette’s race to secure $25,000 in less than 24 hours pulls her into dangerous encounters and forces her to confront a troubled past she has tried to bury.

Directed by Benjamin Caron, best known for his work on The Crown and Andor, the film leans heavily into realism and intensity. Also, Caron described the story as one that mirrors the everyday pressures many people face, working hard yet still living on the edge of eviction.

The script was adapted from Willy Vlautin’s 2021 novel by screenwriter Sarah Conradt, with Kirby herself stepping in as a producer. In addition, the supporting cast includes names like Jennifer Jason Leigh, Stephan James, Julia Fox, Randall Park, Michael Kelly, Zack Gottsagen, and Eli Roth, each adding layers of tension and unpredictability to Lynette’s night.
