Nollywood Actress Regina Chukwu opens up about the painful experience of losing her husband.
It can be recalled that the actress’s husband passed away three years into their marriage from an illness.
During a recent interview, the actress opened up about the heartbreaking experience and shared its change in her family.
“The night that we did our traditional wedding, my husband confided in me, he said in Heaven and Earth, all the money he had hoke and abroad was eleven thousand naira.
“That night, I cried because I felt like where were we going to start? I said it’s not about surviving that I am worried about the fact that it is the sickness that has eaten deep into his capital. And the sickness is still there.”

She reflected on life after their wedding celebrations in 2025 and shared that during their resting phase in 2026 and honeymoon, she discovered she was pregnant.
“After wrapping up three weddings in 2025 — a court wedding in Monaco, a traditional Nigerian wedding in Dubai, and a church wedding in Iceland — we wanted to end the year with a 2-month, digital-detoxed honeymoon, travelling across Korea and Japan. That’s when we found out!”
