Norfolk Man Jailed for Causing Partner’s Pregnancy Loss

David Worby from Dereham, Norfolk, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for administering drugs to his pregnant partner without her knowledge, resulting in the loss of her baby.

Worby secretly added tablets to the victim’s drink and later administered additional doses. After the incident, he sent text messages expressing satisfaction with the outcome.

In court, the victim shared her heartbreak, revealing that the incident has left her unable to have children. She described the loss as a pain that would never heal, stating the baby might have been her only chance of becoming a mother.

A co-defendant, Nueza Cepeda, who helped procure the drugs, received a suspended sentence, while another person was acquitted.

This case highlights the severe consequences of such actions and the profound impact on the victim’s life.
