Ogun State So-Safe Corps Arrests Scavenger for Brutal Robbery and Attack on Cleric
The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) arrested 24-year-old scavenger Ibrahim Ridwan for robbing and attacking cleric Tella Orelope. The incident occurred on July 18, 2024, in Abeokuta North.
Ridwan severed Orelope’s finger and ear while attempting to steal electronic appliances and the cleric’s motorcycle.
The Corps’ Special Squad, led by ACC Elijah Ogundimu, rescued the victim and apprehended Ridwan, who confessed to the crime.
Recovered items included a cutlass, scissors, and pliers. The suspect is now in police custody for further investigation.
