German Coach Didi Hamann Claims Nunez Would Have Solved Arsenal’s Scoring Problems

German Football Coach, Didi Hamann, shares his thoughts to Arsenal’s Manager, Mikel Arteta, on signing in Darwin Nunez.

The coach stated that it would have been a smart move to recruit the player during the January Window transfer.

He shared that the player can solve the team’s current issues with scoring and he could have helped with their defense.

”I think Nunez would have be good for Arsenal. Because I think if you’ve got somebody up top who bullies defenders, who draws defenders in, he always gets the attention of two or three defenders. Obviously, he’s a big unit. He’s quick. The game changes.”

“I think even Nunez would be a brilliant addition to the squad, but it’s too late for that now and they have to make do with what they have.”

Former Liverpool midfielder Didi Hamann has questioned Arsenal’s title chances, insisting they won’t win major trophies without a top striker.

Hamann believes the Gunners’ hopes of lifting the Premier League or Champions League will fade unless they bring in a proven goal scorer. He pointed to Ollie Watkins as a player Arsenal should have targeted during the winter transfer window.

“I’ve said it before, I don’t see them winning the league or Champions League without a proper centre-forward like Ollie Watkins,” Hamann told Prime Casino.

He also noted that Aston Villa was unlikely to let Watkins leave, especially while still competing in the Champions League. “Duran went to Saudi, so it was always a long shot for Villa to sell Watkins at this stage,” he added.
