Orji Kalu Urges Nigerians to Support Tinubu, Calls Him a Listening and Responsive Leader
Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing Abia North in the National Assembly, has called on Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu’s administration, emphasizing that Tinubu is a leader who listens to the concerns of the people.
Kalu, who served as the governor of Abia State from 1999 to 2007, made this appeal in a detailed Facebook post on Saturday night after visiting Tinubu at his private residence in Lagos.
The senator mentioned the importance of unity and collective effort in driving the nation forward, urging Nigerians to recognize Tinubu’s dedication to addressing critical issues facing the country.
In his post, Kalu shared insights from his meeting with the President, describing it as a friendly and productive interaction.
“I had to pay my friend and brother from the class of 1999 Governors, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a private visit to commend his bold steps in steering the nation and to provide an independent assessment of areas needing urgent attention,” Kalu wrote.
He noted that Tinubu was not only receptive to his feedback but also expressed genuine appreciation for the visit.
According to Kalu, Tinubu assured him that the administration would take swift action on the points raised during their discussion. This, he said, is a testament to Tinubu’s commitment to running a responsive and pragmatic government. Kalu expressed confidence in the President’s ability to address pressing national issues effectively, urging Nigerians to rally behind him for the greater good of the country.
Kalu stated, “One thing I want Nigerians to know is that we have a listening President who genuinely cares about the concerns of the people.”
He described Tinubu’s administration as one that prioritizes practical solutions and inclusivity, making it imperative for citizens to support his efforts.
It has been reported that the Ebola virus is rising again and there have been some cases. This has caused fear in many, with talks of different viruses spreading.
Amid this concern, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) reassured the people that no trace of Ebola has been confirmed in the country, despite the outbreak in Africa.
FAAN shared that they have been on the lookout for travellers who may have symptoms, and so far there is none.
It has been reported that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has finally released the withheld results of 279 students.
It can be recalled that some results were held due to investigations of cheating. Some results proved to have traces of malpractice and were cancelled, but the ones without traces have been released and the students can finally move on.
JAMB also shared additional advice for students that might have not seen theirs: “Candidates whose results have not yet been released are advised to check their status by sending UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used for registration to view their released results.”
It was reported that former Nigerian president Goodluck Jonathan has allegedly purchased a presidential candidate form for the 2027 elections.
It can be noted that Jonathan served as Nigeria’s president from 2010 to 2015.
This information was revealed by Sani Useni, a special assistant who made the claim. Many reacted to the news, with some expressing interest in seeing Jonathan return to power after staying relatively quiet politically since his administration ended.
However, Jonathan has not yet addressed the public or officially shared any presidential ambition.
