Osimhen Suspended for Galatasaray’s Europa League Game Against AZ Alkmaar
Victor Osimhen will be unavailable for Galatasaray’s first-leg UEFA Europa League playoff against AZ Alkmaar due to suspension.
The Nigerian striker received his third yellow card of the tournament during last month’s 2-1 loss to Ajax, ruling him out of the upcoming match.
However, the 26-year-old will be back for the return leg at RAMS Park next week. So far, he has netted four goals in the competition this season.
Despite his absence, Galatasaray’s manager, Okan Buruk, remains confident in his squad’s ability to handle the challenge.
“We have some key players missing due to injuries and suspensions, and we didn’t travel with a large squad. But I trust my starting 11 and those coming off the bench,” Buruk said via the club’s official website.
He added that the team will fight to secure a strong position ahead of the second leg.

Speaking during a brief interview on CBS Sports, Henry criticised the practice of players or coaches expressing certain opinions through the media instead of addressing issues directly within the dressing room.

“Even if, for me, in fact, he doesn’t have the Ballon d’Or unanimously because his World Cup was average, even being average, he won it with Spain. He won La Liga with Barça.”
