Osimhen, currently on loan at Turkish giants Galatasaray, is set on staying there for the rest of the season despite United’s interest.

The Nigerian striker, who joined Galatasaray from Napoli last September, has informed Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna that he intends to stay in Turkey until the summer.

Napoli had been hoping to secure a hefty €81 million from his sale this month, thanks to a break-up clause in his contract.

This however, has upset Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis, who feels that Osimhen’s decision is another instance of the player complicating matters for the club.
