Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is reportedly on Manchester United’s transfer radar this summer, with the Nigerian star said to be waiting for updates from England about his next move. This was revealed by Galatasaray reporter Serhan Türk during a recent appearance on A Spor, where he discussed the club’s ongoing transfer talks.

Türk explained that those within Galatasaray’s transfer committee confirmed Osimhen is currently weighing his options and will soon decide his next destination. “People I spoke with in the Galatasaray camp said Osimhen will soon give us his final decision,” Türk shared.

He also mentioned that Osimhen is firmly on Manchester United’s transfer list, with the player eager to hear from the Premier League side before making his move. There are also rumours about other clubs monitoring the situation, but no official confirmation has been made yet. Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, is reportedly keen to leave Napoli on a permanent deal this summer.

“Man United Can’t Sign Osimhen Because His Salary Is Too High” – Romano

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has shared fresh insight into why Manchester United are unlikely to make a move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, despite growing speculation around his future.

Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, is close to making his stay permanent. While top clubs across Europe have been linked with the Super Eagles star, Romano says financial factors are keeping United out of the race.

According to him, the key issue is not just Osimhen’s €75 million release clause, but his salary demands. The striker currently earns €12 million net per year at Napoli, and Galatasaray are reportedly ready to push that up to €16 million annually — a figure far beyond what United are willing to offer under their current wage structure.

“Many are asking if Manchester United could hijack the deal,” Romano said on his YouTube channel. “But I’m not hearing anything serious about that because the salary is the main obstacle. It’s not just about the transfer fee.”

If the deal goes through as expected, Osimhen will become one of the highest-paid players in European football, a move that would mark a major win for Galatasaray and a significant miss for Premier League sides unable to match the financial package.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Gonçalo Ramos is expecting a tough battle when his side takes on Chelsea in the Club World Cup final this Sunday.

Speaking ahead of the clash, Ramos acknowledged the strength of the Premier League side, describing them as a solid and competitive team. However, he made it clear that PSG won’t be adjusting their style for anyone.

“We know Chelsea are a strong side, but we’re focused on our game,” Ramos said. “Every match after the group stage in this tournament has been tough, and the final will be no different.” Despite praising Enzo Maresca’s squad, Ramos insisted that PSG will stick to their identity and approach, regardless of the opponent.

Galatasaray’s push to land Victor Osimhen on a permanent deal has hit a major setback, as Napoli have reportedly rejected their latest offer; even though it matches the striker’s official release clause. According to Nigerian journalist Buchi Laba, Napoli turned down Galatasaray’s third bid of €75 million, the exact amount in Osimhen’s contract clause.

The rejection has sparked fresh tension, with Laba claiming the Italian club is deliberately blocking the deal in a bid to pressure Osimhen into accepting a move to Saudi side Al Hilal. However, the Nigerian forward has made his stance crystal clear; he has no interest in moving to Saudi Arabia and is only focused on joining Galatasaray.

To further stress his position, Osimhen has reportedly informed Napoli that he won’t be returning for pre-season, showing his determination to leave the club and avoid playing under new manager Antonio Conte. The 26-year-old Super Eagles star appears to be standing firm in his decision, and with Galatasaray eager to sign him, all eyes are now on how Napoli will handle the standoff.
