Victor Osimhen’s potential transfer to Chelsea is gaining traction following the confirmed move of Romelu Lukaku to Napoli. Reports suggest that Chelsea has agreed to Napoli’s €30 million offer for Lukaku, which clears a path for the Nigerian striker’s potential transfer to the London club. With Lukaku now undergoing a medical before his Serie A switch, Chelsea is in a better position to pursue Osimhen, who has been impressive in Italy.

The departure of Lukaku opens up significant salary space for Chelsea, which could help them meet Osimhen’s wage demands despite previous financial fair play concerns. Although it’s still uncertain if Chelsea can meet Napoli’s asking price for Osimhen, Lukaku’s exit increases the likelihood that Osimhen’s future with Napoli is uncertain. The football community eagerly anticipates the outcome as the summer transfer window approaches its end.
