Osimhen’s Chelsea Move in Doubt Over £500,000-a-Week Wage Demands
Victor Osimhen’s potential transfer from Napoli to Chelsea may be in jeopardy due to his high wage demands. According to reports from *The Sun*, the Nigerian forward is seeking a salary of £500,000 per week to finalize the move to Stamford Bridge.
This steep demand has caused Chelsea to reconsider their options, particularly with the summer transfer window set to close in less than a week.
In addition to his wage request, Osimhen has reportedly expressed reluctance to move on a loan deal, preferring a permanent transfer instead.
With negotiations becoming increasingly difficult, Chelsea has started exploring alternative options for strengthening their attacking lineup.
Among the players being considered are Juventus winger Federico Chiesa, who has been sidelined by the Italian club, and Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who is entering the final year of his current contract.
Meanwhile, Osimhen’s impressive form and reputation have also drawn interest from other top European clubs, including Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, who may also enter the race for his signature.
As the clock ticks down on the transfer window, Chelsea must decide whether to meet Osimhen’s financial demands or pursue other alternatives to bolster their attack.
