Oxlade: “I Sang Before I Spoke”
Nigerian singer Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, widely known as Oxlade, shared that he began singing before he could speak. Appearing on the ’90s Babies’ podcast, he mentioned that his parents revealed this to him.
Oxlade explained that as a child, he could sing more easily than he could talk, which his parents pointed out as a sign of his early musical talent. “I feel like that’s where it all started,” he said, reflecting on his natural inclination for music.
