Patrick Dorgu Promises Strength, Speed and Determination as he Joins Man U
Manchester United’s latest acquisition, 20-year-old Danish defender Patrick Dorgu, is eager to make a significant impact at Old Trafford. Joining from Italian side Lecce in a deal worth £25 million, potentially rising to £29 million with add-ons, Dorgu has committed to a five-and-a-half-year contract with the Red Devils.
In his first interview with the club, Dorgu emphasized the attributes he plans to bring to the team. “I think I’m going to bring a lot of intensity and physique on the pitch. And a lot of energy and running.”
Dorgu’s journey to Manchester United has been marked by determination and resilience. During his time in Italy, he lived alone, which he believes strengthened his mental fortitude
“For me, it’s the most important thing because there’s a lot of talk about and around football. And you really need to be strong outside of football as well. And, when I have been in Italy, I have lived alone. Of course, my family is visiting me a lot, but you need to be really good mentally to stay focused and concentrate on football.”
