Patrick Doyle: Entertainment Industry ‘Controlled by Satan’ After Secular BET Win’
Popular Nigerian filmmaker Patrick Doyle has asserted that the entertainment industry is under the influence of evil. He made these remarks following singer Tems’ recent BET award where a secular musician won the best gospel category, shocking mainstream gospel artists.
In a Facebook post addressing the controversy, Doyle advised gospel singers against seeking validation from what he described as the morally questionable “entertainment industry mafia.”
He expressed empathy for mainstream gospel artists who felt overlooked by Tems’ recognition, stating, “I understand the frustration of mainstream gospel artists who feel sidelined by Tems receiving the best gospel song award. However, it’s time for committed Christians to refrain from seeking approval from unreliable institutions like the entertainment industry mafia, which, in my view, is under the influence of evil forces.”
Nigerian Activist VeryDarkMan takes to social media to warn Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, not to release the mug shots that were taken of him.
It can be recalled that the activist was recently arrested by EFCC and was just released by them on the claim of money laundering. The activist then took to social media to lament and warn EFCC not to share photos that were taken during his arrest till he’s proved guilty.
“You people took a picture of me, where wahala go dey na if you release that photo of me with money laundering on it. If una release my picture for una page and I con go see money laundering, you people will prove it.”
Popular Nigerian Singer Wizkid makes headline for canceling his upcoming US shows. The shows include Atlanta, GA (State Farm Arena, June 5, 2025), New York, NY (Madison Square Garden, June 7, 2025), and Houston, TX (Toyota Center, June 19, 2025).
The reason behind the cancellation has yet to be communicated however fans react with concerns and disappointment at the news.
Fans comment with questions to why the shows are being cancelled, some fans link the cancellation to the singer’s grieving of his late mother.
VeryDarkMan’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju takes to social media to release a statement on the update of VeryDarkMan’s status after EFCC release.
He goes to his official social media account to update the public on the new happening around VeryDarkMan. He shared that the activist has finally gotten a new phone after his old one was seized.
“VDM has got a new phone. He couldn’t log into his accounts since morning. That just resolved now. I’m sure you will all hear from him tomorrow.”
