Peter Obi congratulates Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Tems on her latest Grammy win, praising the success of Nigerian youths in the entertainment industry. In a post on his X handle, he writes:
“I am ever elated by the huge success Nigerian youths are making in various fields, especially in the entertainment sector.
Therefore, I extend my hearty congratulations to our Nigerian Afrobeats star, Tems @temsbaby, who just secured her second Grammy Award with her win in the Best African Music Performance category.
I also rejoice with Nigeria’s entertainment industry and other Nigerian artists who were nominated for different awards in their respective categories.
Undoubtedly, Nigeria remains home to the endless flow of talents who through their creative arts, continue to put the nation on the global map.
Firmly, I remain committed to building a nation that fosters growth among the youths and helps them discover and harness their individual talents for national productivity.

Tems, whose real name is Temilade Openiyi, made history with her win at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, taking home the first-ever Best African Music Performance award.
Also, this marks her second Grammy, following her win in 2023 for her feature on Future’s hit song Wait for U alongside Drake.

“You Have to Vote Right” — Timaya Speaks on Nigeria’s Political Future
Nigerian singer Timaya has spoken about elections, urging Nigerians to think carefully about their choices and the longer-term consequences of their votes.
Speaking on the state of the country, he said Nigerians have choices and should be intentional about them.
“Nobody dey advise anybody. If na wetin you dey find to chop now put for your pocket, na your business. No be one day o. Na another 4 years of hardship. If you know what’s good, you have to vote right.”
“I dey travel abroad dey see wetin dey happen na. Rich people dey abroad dey no dey stay for Nigeria, these politicians. Dey just dey work for Nigeria.”

Nigerian singer Rema has sparked reactions online after revealing the streamers he watches for entertainment.
The singer shared a list of popular streamers he follows, naming Enzo, Fanum, Agent, Kai Cenat and Okiki.
“The only streamers I fvck with are Enzo, Fanum, Agent, Kai Cenat, and Okiki.”
After he mentioned his list, Nigerians reacted and shared how some notable Nigerian streamers were not on the list, with many calling out their favourites for not being recognised by the singer.

Nigerian singer and producer Young Jonn has made headlines after calling on his colleague, Blaqbonez, for a possible collaboration.
The singer Young Jonn took to social media and excitedly shared “I need like 5 bad friends way we go dey move in bulk!” Young Jonn wrote.
Blaqbonez then replied, wanting to join: “Oya, make we dey together, sing as one.”
