Sergio Ramos saw red in the closing moments of Monterrey’s 3-1 win over Pumas UNAM on Sunday, marking his first red card since joining Liga MX.

Ramos, known for his tough playing style, was involved in several heated clashes throughout the match. In the 92nd minute, he tackled Guillermo Martínez and then kicked him as the ball went out of play, leading to his dismissal.

This marks the 30th red card of Ramos’ career. He was sent off 26 times with Madrid, twice with Paris Saint-Germain, and once with Sevilla. Surprisingly, he’s never been shown a red card while playing for Spain.

Former Chelsea defender William Gallas believes Jadon Sancho isn’t doing enough to earn a permanent stay at the club. Gallas advised Chelsea to reconsider signing the England international permanently, saying Sancho hasn’t shown he can deliver consistently for the West London side.

Sancho’s performance in Chelsea’s recent 1-0 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates, where Mikel Merino’s first-half header secured the win, left Gallas unimpressed.

“Sancho is talented — everyone knows that — but for some reason, he just isn’t performing,” Gallas told Stadium Astro. “He was brilliant at Dortmund, but things didn’t work out at Manchester United. When he first came to Chelsea, we saw glimpses of that Dortmund form, but now he seems to have faded again.”

Gallas suggested that Chelsea might need to think twice before making Sancho’s move permanent unless he steps up his game.
