“Please Don’t Pull My Film” — Ini Edo Responds To Movie Title Backlash
Nollywood actress Ini Edo has pleaded with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to allow her movie remain in circulation. This follows reports that the film’s title was described as offensive to Christians.
Responding to the concerns, the actress stated that the movie title was duly approved by the appropriate authorities, adding that she was surprised by the backlash. She also emphasized that she is a devout Christian.
“Please don’t pull my film. Let people see it first. Watch it and then decide if it disrespects Christians or Christianity. If it does, I will remove it myself. We named it A Very Dirty Christmas to highlight family drama. There’s no literal ‘dirt’ in the story, and it does not ridicule Christians or dishonour God.”

It can be recalled that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has filed charges against Blessing CEO over an alleged ₦13 million fraud case.
The case is reportedly linked to claims that the influencer obtained ₦13 million through an alleged cancer-related fundraising scheme.
It can also be recalled that Blessing CEO previously claimed she was battling Stage 4 breast cancer, a revelation that drew sympathy from many people and reportedly led to financial support from members of the public.
While investigations are still ongoing, the influencer remains innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
