Pastor Adeboye Calls on Members to Support Expansion of Redemption Camp

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has made a special appeal to members of the church to help fund new projects at the Redemption Camp in Mowe, Ogun State.
Speaking during the church’s 2025 convention, Pastor Adeboye explained that the camp has become too small for the growing number of worshippers, leading to serious congestion during services and programmes. He described it as a “good problem,” showing how much the church has grown, but also one that needs urgent solutions.
To tackle the challenges, he asked for willing donors at different levels: ten people who can give ₦1 billion each, one hundred people who can give ₦100 million each, and one thousand people who can support with ₦10 million. He added that anyone can also give any amount they are comfortable with, even as little as ₦1,000.
According to Pastor Adeboye, the funds will not go into anyone’s personal pocket but will be used directly for projects that are already pressing. Among these are the expansion of the choir stand, which was built to hold 10,000 singers but is now overflowing; the construction of new dormitories to accommodate worshippers; an upgrade of the ageing water system; expansion of the sewage network; and a stronger electricity supply to match the camp’s increasing size.
The respected cleric made it clear that nobody is being forced to give, stressing that it is a voluntary sacrifice for those who feel led to do so. He said his desire is to see members of the church rise into wealth and use it to support God’s work, noting that it would be a joy if some members quietly walked up to say, “Daddy, how much do you need? Let me help.”

Peter Obi Urges Nigerians to Use their PVC to End Bad Leadership

Former Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi is once again stressing the importance of the Permanent Voter Card (PVC), calling it the true bridge to a new Nigeria. In a post on his X handle, the former presidential candidate urged Nigerians, young and old, to see their PVC as more than just a card but as a weapon of change.
According to him, the PVC is the voice of the voiceless, the shield for the weak, and the tool of the poor to challenge injustice and failed leadership. He encouraged citizens to get organised, register, collect their PVCs, and make election rigging difficult.
Obi warned against vote buying, describing it as a dangerous trap. He said politicians who buy votes are not showing kindness but investing in corruption, using stolen mandates to loot public funds meant for schools, hospitals, and jobs. Also, he likened such leaders to criminals, no different from armed robbers and kidnappers, because of the destruction they cause.
He also cautioned voters against selling their votes, saying it is not just selling an election but selling away opportunities that could uplift families from poverty. In addition, he pointed out that selling votes means trading away the hospitals that could save loved ones, the schools children deserve, and the jobs that bring dignity.
As Nigeria looks ahead to the 2027 elections, Obi called on citizens to take responsibility for building the country they dream of. He urged them to safeguard their PVCs and use them wisely, voting for leaders with competence, character, and compassion.
In essence, his message reminds Nigerians that the power to change the nation lies in their hands. “Nigeria belongs to the people, not to those who trade our future for their selfish gain,” he said.

FG Rolls Out Interest-free Loans to Support Small Businesses and Farmers

Nigerians running small businesses and farms have been handed fresh relief as the Federal Government announced a new round of interest-free loans under the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP). The scheme is designed to give small traders, women in business, and farmers the financial support they need without the usual stress of collateral or high interest.
According to officials, beneficiaries will be able to access loans ranging from as little as ₦5,000 to as much as ₦100,000, depending on their line of work. The loans come with a six-month grace period before repayment starts, giving recipients time to put the money to work and make returns before paying back.
The initiative is broken down into three categories: TraderMoni for young and small petty traders, MarketMoni for women entrepreneurs and market women, and FarmerMoni which will support those in farming, poultry, livestock and aquaculture. The first phase of this rollout will focus on smallholder farmers before extending to other groups.
For many Nigerians, especially those at the bottom of the economic ladder, accessing bank loans has always been a struggle because of strict requirements and high interest rates. This programme takes away that barrier by offering loans with no collateral and no interest. By doing so, the government hopes to lift millions into financial stability and help them grow sustainable businesses.
The government says the programme will be closely monitored to avoid abuse. Traders’ associations, local cooperatives, and community desk officers will play a key role in identifying real beneficiaries across the 774 local government areas.
