Psquare Twins Allegedly Split Again Amidst Financial Scandal Involving Brother Jude Okoye
Journalist Stella Dimokokorkus recently disclosed in an Instagram post that the Psquare twins, Peter and Paul Okoye, are reportedly facing another split.
The core issue seems to revolve around joint funds that their brother Jude Okoye allegedly misappropriated, causing significant scandal and tension within the Okoye family.
According to Dimokokorkus, a company expressed interest in purchasing the entire Psquare music catalog, which includes all songs the duo has ever created.
However, the terms of the deal required revealing financial details, leading to the exposure of certain financial irregularities. She alleged that Jude was detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) until Amaju Pinnick, former head of the Nigeria Football Federation, intervened.
Dimokokorkus claimed that Paul was complicit in the affair, sharing royalties with Jude while intentionally excluding Peter from the financial dealings. The journalist’s detailed post elaborated on the sequence of events:
“The music duo Psquare is at war again, and this time, the issues seem more severe than before. Insiders allege that the conflict began when one of the twins, Peter, was approached by a company interested in buying the Psquare music catalog, including all their works over the years. The buyers stipulated that the brothers needed to present the back-end statement of account of royalties received over the years to determine the catalog’s value.
“Stella Dimoko Korkus sources say this is where the trouble started. Peter approached Jude and his twin Paul with the proposal, but after weeks of waiting for a statement of account, Peter realized something was wrong and began to investigate.
“Northside Entertainment, registered by Peter and Paul, had Jude as the sole signatory to the account. Peter allegedly discovered that funds were being diverted to a new company, Northside Music, with Jude’s wife Ifeoma as a director and her family address used for registration. The royalties in question, amounting to millions of dollars, span from 2007 to the present.
“Insiders revealed that the EFCC is involved, and Jude has admitted to fund diversion. All his accounts, both in Nigeria and internationally, have been frozen. Paul, by siding with Jude, implicated himself as an accomplice in the fund diversion, sharing the diverted money with Jude and excluding Peter from the royalties.
“They were seen at the EFCC office on Thursday, June 6, 2024, in a heated confrontation. Jude was in EFCC detention until his last birthday when former NFF President Pinnick signed his bail bond, allowing him to celebrate his birthday with his family at home.”

Ycee Questions the ‘Satire’ Behind Trending Akara Videos
Nigerian singer Ycee reacts to the viral and trending akara skits that emerged after the advice given by the First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu.
It can be recalled that the First Lady shared that Nigerians can fight unemployment by going into the akara or corn business to sustain themselves in the current economy.
Following her comments, content creator Gilmore made a skit about selling akara, to which Ycee reacted “To all of you yelling ‘satire.'”
“The entire idea of satire as a literary device is to use humor, be entertaining, while also criticizing and exposing the issue at the base of the content. Portraying ‘akara selling’ as a lucrative business where you’re taking payment in Solana and ETH, patronizing Polanco and shopping at HF, etc… where is the said ‘satire’ that you all are screaming?”
