Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe remains steadfast in his ambition for the club to secure a Premier League title by 2028, aligning with the club’s 150th anniversary.

Despite challenges such as financial constraints and on-field struggles, Ratcliffe believes this goal is attainable. He remarked, “I don’t think it’s mission impossible. I think it’s good to have goals and objectives.”

Ratcliffe acknowledges that the path to success requires time and strategic planning, drawing parallels to clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool, which underwent periods of restructuring before returning to winning ways.

He stated, “If you look at Arsenal, if you look at Liverpool, if you look at the period of time it took them to get the house in order and get back to winning ways, that’s probably slightly on the short end of the spectrum. But it’s not impossible.”

The club has launched “Project 150,” an initiative aimed at revitalizing Manchester United’s competitive edge by the 2028 milestone.

Chief Executive Omar Berrada emphasized the importance of setting clear objectives, saying, “You have to set an objective right? So you focus everybody’s minds on where you’re trying to get to and it can’t just be open-ended.”

While the journey ahead is challenging, Ratcliffe remains optimistic about Manchester United’s future.

Victor Boniface has opened up about how a big-money move from Bayer Leverkusen to Al Nassr fell apart at the very last minute. The Nigerian striker had everything in place, he had agreed personal terms with the Saudi club, passed his medical, and was looking forward to playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.

The deal, which would have earned him around €45 million over three years, seemed all but done. But despite Bayer Leverkusen and Al Nassr reaching an agreement, the Saudi club made a sudden switch in plans and chose to sign Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran instead.

Speaking on The Culture League podcast, Boniface shared just how close he came to leaving, “I was ready. Bags packed. I live in Cologne, and we had already driven to Frankfurt,” he said.

He admitted the money involved was massive and revealed he had already given away many of his designer clothes and shoes to friends back home. “The flight was ready. I was in my hotel room praying for it to happen… but it just didn’t go through in the end.”

But things moved quickly over the weekend as the Turkish side finalized the key details to bring in the Nigerian forward on a permanent basis.

Fabrizio Romano shared an update confirming that Morata will join Como once the Osimhen paperwork is fully completed. He noted that Morata has been waiting patiently for about a month for this switch to happen. Como and Morata had already settled personal terms, so the only thing left was Galatasaray’s clearance.
