Vinicius Could Be Banned for Two Years Over Alleged Ownership of Football Clubs

Vinicius Jr, one of Real Madrid’s biggest stars, may be facing a two-year suspension after being accused of breaking FIFA’s ethics rules.
The investigation is reportedly linked to his involvement with ALL Agenciamento Esportivo, a company owned by his father, through which he allegedly holds stakes in multiple football clubs.
This goes against FIFA’s regulations, which prohibit active players from owning or having financial interest in professional football clubs, directly or indirectly.
According to reports, a Brazilian firm, Tiberis Holding do Brasil, filed a formal complaint with the FIFA Ethics Committee on April 7. They cited Article 20 of FIFA’s rulebook and Spain’s Article 22 on football ethics, arguing that Vinicius’ business ties violate these laws.
Some of the clubs believed to be involved include Athletic Club de São João del Rei in Brazil and Portuguese side Alverca. If found guilty, the Real Madrid forward could be forced to cut all ties with the clubs or face a suspension that could sideline him for up to two years.
