Ronaldo Says Ballon d’Or Means Nothing to Him and Refuses to Pick 2025 Winner
Cristiano Ronaldo has made it clear he’s not interested in the Ballon d’Or 2025 discussion, bluntly calling the award “fictional” before walking away from a reporter’s question.
Speaking after scoring a hat-trick in Al-Nassr’s pre-season clash with Rio Ave, the Portuguese star, who has lifted the Ballon d’Or five times, refused to name a favourite for this year’s prize. He said the award holds no real value to him anymore.
Interestingly, back in June, Ronaldo suggested the trophy should go to a player who has won the Champions League, mentioning names like Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappé, Vitinha, and Ousmane Dembélé as worthy contenders.

“I love Odegaard, I think he’s brilliant. Technically, he’s great, but he doesn’t play his position properly. Half the time I saw him in the first 20 minutes, he was almost the deepest man.”

Chelsea’s Mudryk Faces Four Year Ban After Court Decision
It has been reported that a four-year ban has been placed on Chelsea’s player, Mykhailo Mudryk, for anti-doping violations.
The player appealed in court on February 25 but has now been handed his punishment, which is a four-year ban from football.
It can be recalled that his last appearance on the field was on November 28, 2024.
