Rosé Becomes Fastest K-pop Artist to Reach 2 Billion Views on YouTube with “APT.”
Rosé, a member of BLACKPINK, has reached a historic milestone in K-pop. Her music video for “APT.,” a collaboration with Bruno Mars, has become the fastest K-pop MV to hit 2 billion views on YouTube. Released on October 18, 2024, it achieved this record in just 335 days, surpassing BTS’s “Dynamite.”
“APT.” is an energetic pop-punk track inspired by a Korean drinking game. The music video is co-directed by Rosé and Bruno Mars alongside Daniel Ramos. It shows the duo performing in a playful garage band setup, with matching leather jackets and a bright pink backdrop. Its casual and fun vibe sets it apart from the usual polished K-pop visuals.
Earlier, Rosé became the first K-pop artist to win the MTV Video Music Award for Song of the Year with “APT.” The song also topped the Billboard Global (excluding U.S.) chart for 15 weeks and surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify, becoming one of the fastest songs ever to reach that milestone.
The Love Island USA Season 8 cast has reunited ahead of the show’s highly anticipated reunion.
The reunion is scheduled to air on August 31, 2026, on Peacock, with Ariana Madix and Andy Cohen returning as co-hosts. The reunion was filmed on August 10 at Universal Studios, with the cast arriving for filming and fans getting a first look at their reunion appearances.
Fans have already gone wild over the cast’s reunion looks and appearances, with many excited to see their favourite Islanders back together and find out what has happened since the season ended.
Nigerian TikTok influencer Peller makes headlines for his vows to his wife, Jarvis, at their white wedding, which was held on August 1, 2026. The couple had previously announced the date ahead of their wedding.
The influencer added in his vows “We are one. Whatever is mine is yours. I promise to do 50/50 with you; I don’t care what people say.”
Fans were left in awe of the couple and shared how their love appears genuine despite the content and jokes they often make online.
Nigerian music executive Soso Soberekon offers Peter Okoye ₦500 million if he beats his brother, Paul Okoye, in a boxing match.
It can be noted that the music executive wrote out the offer on his phone and simply put it out “₦500 Million Naira to fight your twin in a boxing match.”
