Rosie, Believed to Be the World’s Oldest Cat, Passes Away at the Age of 33

Rosie, a 33-year-old tortoiseshell cat believed to be the oldest in the world, passed away this week in her Norwich, Norfolk home.

Born in 1991, she lived a long, fulfilling life with her devoted owner, Lila Brissett, 73, who adopted her as a kitten.

Rosie passed away peacefully in the hallway of her home, with Lila by her side.

At 33, the equivalent of 152 human years, Rosie outlived the official Guinness World Record holder, a 28-year-old cat named Flossie. Lila described her as a beloved companion who will be deeply missed.

Residents of Lagos should prepare for traffic disruptions as several roads will be closed due to the visit of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is set to commission infrastructural projects.

The commissioning will take place on April 8 and 9, 2026.

Affected areas on Wednesday (April 8):
Opebi, Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Ojota, and Victoria Island.

Affected areas on Thursday (April 9):
Lekki-Epe Expressway, Ikoyi, Victoria Island, and Ajegunle.

Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes and expect heavy traffic during these periods.
