Ruben Amorim Urges Manchester United to Pursue Victor Osimhen
Manchester United’s manager, Ruben Amorim, is reportedly unhappy with his current attacking options and is pressing the club’s hierarchy to secure Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, a long-term target for Chelsea.
According to Sky Sports Germany, Amorim’s dissatisfaction stems from the struggles of his current forwards, with Rasmus Hojlund yet to find consistent form and Joshua Zirkzee having a difficult time adjusting to the Premier League in his first six months.
Amorim’s frustration has become more evident following Manchester United’s humiliating 3-0 loss to Bournemouth in the Premier League over the weekend.
The defeat has intensified scrutiny of the team’s performance and shows their need for reinforcements, particularly in the attack.
After the game, Amorim openly acknowledged the magnitude of the task he faces in rebuilding United, describing the job as challenging but reaffirming his commitment to restoring the club’s former glory.
The Portuguese coach, who earned praise for his achievements with Sporting Lisbon before taking the reins at Old Trafford, is eager to reshape United’s offensive line during the January transfer window.
His primary focus is on Victor Osimhen, a striker who has been one of Europe’s standout goal-scorers this season.
Known for his pace, strength, and clinical finishing, Osimhen has attracted widespread interest from top European clubs.
However, instead of joining Chelsea, where he was heavily linked over the summer, he moved to Galatasaray on loan from Napoli.
