Singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has expressed that he and some of his contemporaries should have retired from music by now, given the traditional career trajectory in the music industry.

At 45, Rudeboy noted that in the past, musicians typically didn’t remain active for long, and balancing a music career with family responsibilities is particularly challenging. Speaking on the Adesope live show, he reflected on the changing dynamics of the industry and the inevitable challenges that come with fame.

He emphasized the importance of personality and how one handles such issues. Despite their success, P-Square has faced multiple breakups, with the most recent occurring in August 2024 after Peter accused Rudeboy and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, of mismanaging the group’s funds.
