Actress and producer Ruth Kadiri has addressed Nollywood actors feeling pressured by producers to achieve 1 million daily views on YouTube.

In a candid Instagram post, Kadiri, known for her successful YouTube productions, called out producers who impose such expectations on actors.

She wrote, “Dear Nollywood actors!!! Take the pressure off your shoulder!!! Any producer who requires 1 million views from you per day has failed! A good production requires more than your face.”

Kadiri emphasized that achieving 1 million views is neither a measure of success nor failure, urging actors not to let ignorance diminish their joy.

In her caption, she added, “The ones who never invest in anyone are the ones with the most nonsense to say about others.”

It has been shared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is calling on the federal government to suspend the tax law set to take effect on January 1, 2026.

This was revealed in a statement released by Ini Ememobong, National Publicity Secretary of the PDP. He stated that this new law shows how Nigerians and the masses will be affected, arguing that the government is prioritizing finance over security and other pressing matters.

“Rather than address these issues comprehensively, the Presidency has consciously minimized them and instead insisted that the commencement date must stand, despite the discrepancies,” the party said, adding that this “clearly shows where the priority of the government lies between Nigerians and money.”

979 Forests to Be Taken Down as Northern States Intensify Security Efforts

It has been reported that Niger State and some northern states have come together and agreed to take down 979 forests in order to strengthen national security.

This was revealed by the Niger State Governor, represented by his deputy, Yakubu Garba, at the passing-out parade in Mutum Daya.

He also shared that the government will support in any way they can in order to achieve this and strengthen security in Nigeria.

“The state will make necessary arrangements to support and empower the Forest Guard families for their service to the nation. We will provide them with adequate healthcare insurance scheme.”

Analyst Says Tinubu Not Responsible for Recent U.S.-Linked Airstrike Claims

Nigerian news analyst, Mahmud Jega, has shared his opinion on the recent airstrike carried out by the United States in Nigeria, stating that Nigerians should not blame President Bola Tinubu for the incident.

Jega made this statement during a recent interview, where he said he does not believe many people will hold the Tinubu administration responsible, as Donald Trump had issued threats against Nigeria long before Tinubu’s administration.

“No, I don’t think many people will blame the Tinubu administration for what is happening now because President Donald Trump, when he first made the threats, it was clearly not in coordination with the Tinubu administration or the government of Nigeria,” Jega said.
