Rwandan Paralympic Volleyball Player Missing in Paris Ahead of 2024 Games
A member of Rwanda’s Paralympic women’s sitting volleyball team has gone missing in Paris just before the 2024 Paralympic Games.
The athlete, who arrived in the French capital earlier this month, vanished after leaving her accommodation to visit a restaurant on August 20.
Despite her absence, Rwanda’s team commenced their campaign, suffering a 3-0 defeat to Brazil.
A police investigation is underway, and the Rwandan ambassador has visited the site of her disappearance. Authorities describe the situation as a “worrying disappearance.”

Concern Grows Over Rising Insecurity Following Kwara Abduction Case
It was reported that bandits were seen in Kwara State and abducted six residents from Rukpete Village.
The incident was reported to have occurred on June 8 at about 11 p.m.
Sources revealed that seven people were initially taken, but an elderly man was later released, leaving six victims in captivity.
