Scholes urges Man United to sign Zubimendi and sell four players
Paul Scholes has urged Manchester United to sign Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad this summer.
The United legend believes manager Ruben Amorim is interested in the 26-year-old midfielder and thinks the club should offload four players to raise funds for the transfer.
Scholes hinted that Amorim’s recent comments suggest he admires Zubimendi. Ahead of United’s Europa League win over Real Sociedad, Amorim praised Zubimendi’s ability, saying, “He’s a top player who can change a team, especially in defensive midfield where he reads and blocks transitions well.”
Reacting to this, Scholes said, “It’s clear the manager likes Zubimendi. If we sell a few players, we could probably afford him.”
Zubimendi, who reportedly has a €60 million release clause, has also attracted interest from Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool.

“We Were Forced to Leave Immediately” — Iran Coach Speaks Out

The coach shared that they had already planned to rest for a day for recovery before returning, but instead were told to leave immediately.
“After the game, they said to us, ‘You have to leave immediately. We’ve been asked to get on a plane and return to our camp in Tijuana, and we are really troubled by that.’
“They are forcing us to go back early. They are making the situation more and more difficult, more hurdles, but we’re not going to let that stop us from doing our best.”
