Sergio Ramos Gets First Red Card in Monterrey’s Win Over Pumas
Sergio Ramos saw red in the closing moments of Monterrey’s 3-1 win over Pumas UNAM on Sunday, marking his first red card since joining Liga MX.
Ramos, known for his tough playing style, was involved in several heated clashes throughout the match. In the 92nd minute, he tackled Guillermo Martínez and then kicked him as the ball went out of play, leading to his dismissal.
This marks the 30th red card of Ramos’ career. He was sent off 26 times with Madrid, twice with Paris Saint-Germain, and once with Sevilla. Surprisingly, he’s never been shown a red card while playing for Spain.
Despite the setback, Ramos has had a strong start at Monterrey, scoring three goals in four games since joining last month.
