Seyi Law Says Only Tinubu Can Fix Nigeria and Vows Never to Support Peter Obi
Nigerian comedian Oluwaseyitan Aletile, better known as Seyi Law, believes President Bola Tinubu is the only leader capable of fixing the country. Speaking during an interview on the Teju Babyface podcast, he said if Tinubu fails to set Nigeria on the right path, no other politician currently in the scene can do it.
Seyi Law, who supported Tinubu during the 2023 elections, said despite the current economic struggles and rising insecurity, he still sees the former Lagos governor as the most capable hand for the job. He argued that neither Atiku Abubakar nor Peter Obi would have done better, based on what he knows about their track records.
He admitted that his public support for Tinubu has cost him fans and show attendance, but he remains unbothered. For him, it’s about the long-term results. He hopes that someday his children will benefit from the changes Tinubu is trying to bring.
“Some people dislike me now because I supported Tinubu. They don’t come to my shows anymore,” he said. “But I’ll be happier years from now if my children enjoy the results of the sacrifices I’m making today.”
Seyi Law also made it clear that he has no plans to ever support Peter Obi’s political ambition. He criticized Obi for not calling out the behavior of some members of the Obidient movement, who he said went as far as attacking his wife and kids online.
“The moment you come for my children, my mother, or my wife — that’s a line you don’t cross,” he said firmly. “Peter Obi has never acknowledged what some of his supporters did. As long as he keeps acting like nothing happened, he won’t have my support.”
He added that no matter what Obi does, even if he becomes saint-like, he won’t forgive that silence. For him, any group that doesn’t allow freedom of thought is no better than a cult.

Nigerian singer BNXN has made a claim online that has generated mixed reactions. The singer stated that living in Lagos is more expensive than living in Los Angeles, drawing from his personal experience in the United States.
Speaking about life abroad, BNXN explained that there are fewer financial obligations and requests for money compared to Nigeria, where people are often expected to support relatives and acquaintances.
“I was telling someone, since I got to the United States, I haven’t seen one egbon adugbo asking me to press money. Lagos is too expensive abeg. Lagos is more expensive than LA (Los Angeles),” BNXN stated.

The case is reportedly linked to claims that the influencer obtained ₦13 million through an alleged cancer-related fundraising scheme.
It can also be recalled that Blessing CEO previously claimed she was battling Stage 4 breast cancer, a revelation that drew sympathy from many people and reportedly led to financial support from members of the public.
While investigations are still ongoing, the influencer remains innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
