Seyi Shay Opens Up on Losing Mentor Sound Sultan: “I Lost My Zeal for Music”
Nigerian singer Seyi Shay opens up about how the death of her colleague, Sound Sultan, affected her music and career.
In a recent interview, the singer recalled that his passing deeply affected her due to their close relationship. She shared that he was her mentor, best friend, and father figure.
“Sound Sultan’s death really affected me. He was my everything in the industry. When he passed, I just didn’t have the zeal for music anymore.”
Nigerian singer Mr Eazi has opened up about business and how he actually failed before becoming successful.
In a recent interview, the singer shared that he borrowed €40,000 from his uncle to start a business, but the venture failed.
“I remember one time I took money from my uncle to do business; the business went south. And then he was chasing me for the money… I was so embarrassed that my dad had to pay,” he said.
He added that the experience sharpened his mindset on business.
Popular Nigerian actress Oby Kechere, known for her role as “Madam Koi Koi,” has unfortunately passed away after battling an illness.
The news was revealed by the Directors Guild of Nigeria, which stated “It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Madam Cecilia Oby Kechere, Vice Chairman of the DGN Abuja Chapter.
“We were informed yesterday that she passed on Monday, 27th April 2026, after a prolonged illness.”
