Shakira Is Back on Stage as She Begins Her 2025 World Tour
Shakira is back and she’s taking the world by storm with her brand-new 2025 World Tour titled Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, which means Women Don’t Cry Anymore. It’s her first global tour in seven years, and fans across the globe are buzzing with excitement. The tour opened in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on February 11, with a packed stadium of 46,000 fans cheering her on as she stepped back into the spotlight.
This tour isn’t just about the music — it’s about a woman who turned pain into power. After her very public breakup with former footballer Gerard Piqué in 2022, Shakira decided to channel her emotions into her art. During her opening night, she shared a heartfelt message with her fans, saying music has been her way of healing and reminding everyone that loving yourself is just as important as loving others.
The energy at her concerts is electrifying. She’s performing a powerful mix of her all-time hits like Hips Don’t Lie, Whenever, Wherever, and Waka Waka, alongside emotional new tracks from her latest album. Her song Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53 stands out, as it dives deep into her personal journey and growth.
Visually, the tour is stunning.
With help from her longtime stylist Nicolas Bru, Shakira is changing outfits about ten times during each show. The costumes are more than just clothes — they tell stories. One of the standout looks is a glittering gown made of thousands of crystals, representing strength and transformation. Designers like Versace and Zuhair Murad helped bring her vision to life, adding elegance and drama to the stage.
After touring several cities in Latin America, she kicked off the North American leg of the tour on May 13 in Charlotte, North Carolina. That night, she surprised fans by bringing out two music legends — Alejandro Sanz and Wyclef Jean. The crowd went wild as they performed La Tortura and Hips Don’t Lie live together, creating a magical moment.
In Mexico City, she made history. Seven nights, seven sold-out shows at Estadio GNP Seguros — something no artist has done before at that scale. It proves that her star power is still burning bright and that fans everywhere have been waiting for this moment. Shakira’s tour is far from over. After wrapping up in North America, she’s heading to Europe and Asia through the summer.
