Singer 2Face Reacts to Debate on Afrobeats Growth
Nigerian singer 2Face speaks on the topic regarding Afrobeats and the fact that the genre might lose its appeal to international audience.
This discussion was held in a recent interview where the singer shared his thoughts “Afrobeats can never die. If you listen to some of the young Afrobeats artists now, you will agree with me that the genre is in safe hands.”
“Recently, one of the young artists, Fola, remade my song ‘If Love Is A Crime.’ I really loved it. Soft, smooth vocals. It is amazing. The present crops of artists have special flows. I love their styles.”

The singer took to social media and shared that while he still wants to achieve his goals, he realized that he was already successful and had achieved his past goals.
“Sometimes I keep chasing my dream life that I forget I’m already living a dream life. In this life, at what point does someone finally say they’ve arrived? Because that dream life is an endless dream.”
It has been reported that Blord is still in prison despite being granted bail. It was reported that he is still in the Kuje Correctional Centre.
The bail had some conditions such as the submission of his international passport. It was shared by VeryDarkMan that his passport could not come to Abuja on time for his bail.
“They tried everything they could, but his passport could not come from Anambra on time,” VeryDarkMan shares.
