Singer Rema Reveals Deep Symbolism Behind ‘HEIS’ Album Cover and Concept
Nigerian singer, Rema, speaks on his strategic plan for rebranding his music and how he came up with his album “HEIS.”
The singer took to the X platform to share his thought process behind the album “HEIS.”
“HEIS, the Anniversary. I expressed a lot of surface-level reasons why I released this project over the course of various interviews when it came out, but here are a few symbolic details that wrap around the energy of the project. I kept them to myself, but now, I’d like to share.”
“The cover was inspired by Itachi in Naruto — the truth masked as illusion, love buried under what y’all thought was betrayal (change of sound, smoking, looks, aesthetics, and choice of color).”

Ycee Responds to Backlash Over ‘Olodo Uprising’ Comments
Nigerian singer Ycee reacts to the criticism and ongoing conversation surrounding his comments about the “Olodo uprising.”
He reacted to the fact that he received backlash for using Peller as an example. “Some people are saying I shouldn’t have called Peller’s name, but I said what I said. If you feel offended, you should check yourself. A lot of people are also taking what I said out of context. The olodo uprising is even worse than I thought because there are so many people coming out to defend it.”
“My call is to people that are tired of brain-rot content. There is no reason why intelligent people cannot be streamers or content creators.”
