Singer Timi Dakolo shares love story on how he met his wife, Busola for the first time. He reveals that they met in church and Busola was not interest in him at the beginning but he was persistent.

Dakolo then shares that she used to be embarrassed of him whenever he picked her up with his car, a branded Picanto he won from Idols West Africa, 2007. He replied to her embarrasment ‘Okay, don’t worry. I will shock you. Don’t look down on me.’ And I did.”

In a recent interview Dakolo stated “I met my wife in the church. I went to her and asked her to be my date for a ball. She gave me her number but wasn’t picking up the phone when I called. I kept going to the area hoping to see her again.

Then I saw her one day and I asked her why was she not picking my calls and she said her phone got stolen. I sympathised with her and we became friends. I started developing feelings for her and she wanted to friend-zone me but I refused. I suffered to win her love.”
