“This Is False and Unfair” – Skales Denies Divorced Rumors

Nigerian singer Skales, whose real name is John Njenga-Njeng, has shut down viral claims that he divorced his wife, Precious Hassanity, because she mocked his music career. The rumour started after an X user, @Verity_HQ, posted that Skales ended the marriage over a comment Precious allegedly made under one of his posts, joining online trolls to ridicule his music.
According to the post, Skales supposedly said he got angry because she didn’t defend him and claimed he had no regrets about walking away. “She should’ve supported me or stayed silent,” the post quoted him as saying. “A wife who doesn’t back her man’s hustle isn’t a good wife.” But Skales has now come out to clear the air. He strongly denied ever making such a statement, calling the report “false,” “evil,” and “unfair.” In a post shared online, he expressed his disappointment over the fabricated story and warned against spreading lies.
Skales and Precious, a professional chef, got married in September 2021. By late 2022, fans noticed tension when Skales previewed a track that sounded like a diss aimed at his wife, sparking speculations about issues in their marriage.
