Steve Nash Says Lionel Messi Is the Best Footballer of All Time
Basketball icon Steve Nash has hailed Lionel Messi as the greatest footballer of all time, praising his incredible impact on the game.
Nash, speaking with Flashscore (via GOAL), described Messi as unbelievable, noting that the Argentine star continues to score goals at an astonishing rate.
Since joining Inter Miami in 2023, Messi has taken Major League Soccer (MLS) by storm. The former Barcelona and PSG forward has netted 36 goals and provided 20 assists in just 42 appearances.
He played a key role in helping Inter Miami lift the 2023 Leagues Cup and later secured the Supporters’ Shield in 2024.
Despite falling short of an MLS Cup win, Messi’s performances earned him the 2024 MLS MVP award.
Nash mentioned Messi’s influence on the league, saying, “He’s still scoring like crazy and creating moments that grab the world’s attention. Having a player of his caliber in MLS is a huge win for the league, especially right after his World Cup triumph.”
Football legend Paul Merson praises Mikel Arteta on his win this season and shares good luck to him in the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain.
He praised the manager, saying that Arteta really pushed the club to the best and the win is well deserved.
“Congratulations to Arsenal once again. It is a well-deserved win after 22 years. We can’t wait to see the 30th of May and see if it’s a double win.”
Luis Enrique, manager of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), praised Arsenal F.C. and called them the best team in the world after their win in the Premier League.
He shared: “I believe they deserve to win the league — they have had an outstanding season.
“We have already faced this Arsenal team, so we are aware of their capabilities.
“Without the ball, they are the best team in the world, and with it, they can score frequently. This creates a remarkable combination for them.”
Nigerian footballer Victor Osimhen spoke about his childhood days and the difficult experiences he faced growing up.
He revealed that his mother was the breadwinner of the family and that her death deeply affected them.
“My mom was the breadwinner of the family, but she and my dad never had issues because of it.”
He shared that when his mother passed away, they not only missed her emotionally but also struggled financially without her support.
