Following a visit to Onwenu’s family to extend his condolences, Ade spoke to QEDng and other media about how her passing has been a profound personal and professional loss.
Ade commended Onwenu for her significant role in his life, highlighting her invaluable advice and support. He recalled how her guidance often led to successful new directions in their music collaborations, emphasizing that she was much more than a colleague—she was a key supporter who greatly contributed to his achievements.

She reflected on life after their wedding celebrations in 2025 and shared that during their resting phase in 2026 and honeymoon, she discovered she was pregnant.
“After wrapping up three weddings in 2025 — a court wedding in Monaco, a traditional Nigerian wedding in Dubai, and a church wedding in Iceland — we wanted to end the year with a 2-month, digital-detoxed honeymoon, travelling across Korea and Japan. That’s when we found out!”
