Super Eagles Coach Eric Chelle to Attend AFCON 2025 Draw
Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, is set to attend the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations draw, which will take place at the Mohammed V National Theatre in Rabat on Monday.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is expected to release the official draw procedure over the weekend as anticipation builds for the tournament.
Nigeria, three-time AFCON champions, will enter the draw as one of the top seeds, thanks to their strong performance and ranking.
The Super Eagles are currently among Africa’s top six teams in the FIFA rankings, a testament to their consistency and talent.
Their impressive run at the AFCON 2023 finals in Côte d’Ivoire, where they finished as runners-up, further solidifies their position as strong contenders for the 2025 edition.

“I mean we’re still waiting, well hopefully we can go to the World Cup, but I feel it’s a tough one.
“It’s a tough one because winning AFCON is like… It’s a great legacy, it’s a great thing to have in your career, a memorable moment. But then at the same time, because I’ve been to the World Cup already, a lot of the players haven’t been.”
