Umar Sadiq has been nominated for both La Liga’s Player of the Month and Goal of the Month awards for March. The Super Eagles striker scored three goals in three league games for Valencia last month, putting him in the spotlight for the top awards.

For Player of the Month, Sadiq will compete against Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe, Real Betis’ Isco, Celta Vigo’s Marco Alonso, and Rayo Vallecano’s Pedro Diaz. He’s also in the running for Goal of the Month, facing competition from Rayo Vallecano’s Florin Rațiu and CD Leganes’ Diego Garcia.

Since joining Valencia on loan from Real Sociedad in January, the 28-year-old has scored four goals in eight league appearances, making a strong impact for Carlos Corberán’s side.
