Taylor Swift Donates $5 Million for Hurricane Relief
Taylor Swift has donated $5 million to support communities affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton in the southeastern U.S. Feeding America announced the contribution, highlighting its importance in providing essential food, clean water, and supplies.
This donation comes as Hurricane Milton approaches Florida, following the devastation of Hurricane Helene, which made landfall two weeks earlier and claimed over 230 lives. Taylor Swift’s generosity is part of her philanthropic history, including a $1 million donation for disaster relief in Tennessee and $100,000 to the family of a victim from the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade. During her “Eras Tour,” she also supported local food banks and distributed over $55 million in bonuses to her staff.
Her donation has drawn admiration from her fans, known as “Swifties,” many of whom urged other wealthy individuals to give back as well. Swift joins celebrities like Dolly Parton, who also pledged $1 million for flood relief in the Appalachian region.
