Tems Celebrates Successful End of North American Tour

Temilade Openiyi, known as Tems, is celebrating the successful end of the North American leg of her debut world tour, “Born in the Wild.” In an Instagram post, the Grammy Award-winning artist thanked her team, family, and fans, saying, “The North American leg of the Born in the Wild Tour has ended! I feel joy and gratitude for this experience. I feel part of something much larger than myself and am thankful to have met so many beautiful souls. Thank you!”

Tems launched the European portion of her five-part tour, which also includes Asia and Africa, on June 11, 2024, at Eventim Apollo in London. The North American leg kicked off on August 22, 2024, in Miami, with supporting acts such as American singer Naomi Sharon, Lekan, and Nigerian-American artist Godwin.

The tour continues into November, with Australian dates set for Melbourne, Brisbane, and Moore Park. The African leg will begin on October 19, 2024. Tems performed popular tracks like “Not An Angel,” “Love Me JeJe,” “Burning,” “Wickedest,” and “Damages” during the tour.

In a recent interview, the singer shared that he borrowed €40,000 from his uncle to start a business, but the venture failed.

“I remember one time I took money from my uncle to do business; the business went south. And then he was chasing me for the money… I was so embarrassed that my dad had to pay,” he said.

He added that the experience sharpened his mindset on business.

Popular Nigerian actress Oby Kechere, known for her role as “Madam Koi Koi,” has unfortunately passed away after battling an illness.

The news was revealed by the Directors Guild of Nigeria, which stated “It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Madam Cecilia Oby Kechere, Vice Chairman of the DGN Abuja Chapter.

“We were informed yesterday that she passed on Monday, 27th April 2026, after a prolonged illness.”

Many have taken to social media to pay tribute to the actress.
