Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, widely recognized by her stage name Tems, recently shared her admiration for the controversial American rapper Kanye West.

During her appearance on the latest episode of the podcast ‘Shopping The Sneakers,’ Tems openly discussed her connection with Kanye, emphasizing how much she respects and relates to him.

The ‘Mr Rebel’ singer spoke candidly about how Kanye’s unique perspective on life resonates with her. “I love Kanye [West],” she revealed. “I relate to him sometimes.”

In addition to her thoughts on Kanye West, Tems delved into her personal connections within the music industry, especially highlighting her strong friendship with American R&B sensation Brent Faiyaz.

Tems explained that their friendship dates back to 2021, describing Brent as a genuine person who has consistently shown her support. “Brent Faiyaz is my very good friend.

I’ve known him since like 2021. He’s a real one and always supportive. I have a couple of artists I’m close to, and he’s one of them,” she said.

Tems is no stranger to breaking records and pushing boundaries in the music world. She recently became the first female Nigerian artist to surpass 1 billion solo streams on Spotify, a remarkable milestone that adds to her growing legacy.

This achievement came on the heels of her long-awaited debut album, ‘Born In The Wild,’ which was met with widespread acclaim.

The actor shared in a recent interview that kissing is usually scripted and often has no real emotion attached to it.

“It is not easy to kiss another actor. It is weird. I have not really had any good onscreen kiss. It is weird having people invade your mouth with saliva.
