British boxing champion Tyson Fury has announced that he has given up supporting Manchester United and football altogether.

Fury, who has often been seen at Old Trafford watching matches, revealed his change of heart while speaking to Racing TV at Cartmel Racecourse. He explained that his longtime support for United has ended due to the team’s poor form.

Manchester United finished 15th in the league last season and are no longer seen as Premier League contenders. This term, the Red Devils have yet to secure a win, suffering a 1-0 home defeat to Arsenal and a 1-1 draw at Fulham.

“I’m not really a football supporter anymore,” Fury said. “I used to back United, but now that they’re in this state, I don’t support any football teams.”
