The highly awaited Korean drama The Nice Guy is finally making its debut today, July 18, at 8:50 PM KST on JTBC. International fans can also catch it on Disney+ in selected regions. The drama has a blend of noir, gangster family drama, and romance.

The Nice Guy stars Lee Dong-wook, a big name in K-drama known for his powerful performances in shows like Goblin and Tale of the Nine-Tailed. He takes on the role of a man caught in a web of crime, betrayal, and unexpected love. Co-starring is Lee Sung-kyung, admired for her roles in Dr. Romantic 2 and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo. She plays a strong, emotionally layered female lead who finds herself deeply connected to Dong-wook’s character in a story filled with secrets and emotions.

The show’s plot has a complex tale set in the dark underbelly of a gangster family, where loyalty is tested and trust is scarce. Unlike the usual light rom-coms, The Nice Guy leans into intense emotions, mystery, and mature storytelling, while still offering viewers the romantic spark that K-dramas are known for.
