The Pastor makes headline as he criticizes gospel singers who prioritize money over ministration. He shared that many gospel singers have lost sight of the true meaning behind their spiritual calling.

“It has become a performance; someone has come here to charge N5 million just to sing.”

In response to this, Timi Dakolo shares his insights and perspective. The singer states that the singers deserve to live a comfortable life and can charge for their talent.

You should be paid what you deserve. Studio session, production and promotion cost a lot. You have a family to feed, you have rent to pay, you have more songs to put out. We should stop all these attack on people’s work, As much as it is spiritual, music is art.”

He shared how the idea of the tour came about and stated that Timaya was the one insisted on a joint tour. “I was speaking with Timaya the other day and he was like, ‘Banger, it’s okay, you’ve entrepreneur enough. It’s time to come out.” He then adds that the same thing happened with 2Face.

“We have myself, 2Face and Timaya. We have great bodies of work. Because of how our industry is, there is a big market for everyone. So, yes, we will be going on a tour.”
