President Bola Tinubu has assured the people of Nasarawa State and Nigerians at large that his government remains committed to delivering on all promises under the Renewed Hope Agenda. Tinubu made this known during his visit to the Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad, at his palace, where he pledged continued federal support for key developmental projects in Nasarawa, especially in the solid minerals and agriculture sectors.

The president also commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for his responsible management of state resources, noting that it has earned the trust of both the Federal Government and investors. Speaking at the Emir’s palace, Tinubu expressed excitement about returning to Nasarawa, recalling the Emir’s prediction during the 2023 campaigns that he would return as Nigeria’s president.

“Thank you for your foresight and your unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s progress,” Tinubu said. He described Nasarawa as peaceful, stable, and steadily growing, giving credit to Governor Sule and the state’s traditional rulers for their efforts. Tinubu assured that he would continue working hard to deliver on the Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on creating a better future for young Nigerians and generations to come.

The Federal Government has announced an extension of the NYSC programme. It can be noted that the NYSC camp orientation is usually for three weeks before the youths go out to gain experience, employment, and serve the country for one year.

The final two weeks, we intend to have focused corps-stream-specific training aligned with the corps member’s designated stream based on his choice, academic background and skills profile.”

The federal government reacted to claims stating that the new tax rules will be imposed on telecommunications and petroleum products for Nigerians.
