The video, which surfaced online in 2021, was reportedly filmed by her boyfriend without her knowledge and later used in an attempt to blackmail her. At the time, Tiwa refused to give in to the demands of the blackmailer, and the clip eventually spread across social media.

In a recent chat on The Breakfast Club, the Afrobeats singer disclosed that her then-boyfriend deliberately shared the video as part of a wager with his friends.

“I actually did that with my boyfriend. He told me he mistakenly sent it while trying to save it, but I later discovered it was all a bet,” she revealed, adding that the betrayal left her deeply hurt.
