An abroad-based Nigerian woman has urged her fellow Nigerian women in the UK to stop reporting minor domestic disputes to the police. She highlighted that London police have expressed frustration with the rising number of cases that could have been resolved amicably at home. Many Nigerian women, taking advantage of the legal systems in Western countries, are reportedly involving the police in situations that don’t require law enforcement. The woman advised her peers to foster better communication with their husbands, emphasizing the importance of maintaining harmony in the home without relying on authorities for every disagreement. This advice comes as a reminder that some marital issues are better resolved through dialogue than legal intervention.
